Can you believe it?! We are in the 4th Quarter of the year and my year as your Board Chair is coming to an end. It has been a great year and we have accomplished A LOT as your Chamber this year.
Here are some of the successes we are proud of:
- In January we turned the Annual Dinner into a fun Casino Night and had a great night celebrating the Chamber and its members. We received such a great response that we will continue the Casino Night for this year’s Annual Dinner. Get your tickets now!
- We officially rolled out our new logo and message “Together We Grow.” We will continue to work on getting our fresh, updated brand out there. Will you help us by displaying your Chamber Membership in your office or website?
- We hosted our first Community Impact Day this spring where nearly 100 professionals donated their time and worked to make our community a better place.
- Ann and Beth recently hosted members of the Trek Foundation in Shawnee to further the plans to build a state-of-the-art CycloCross course at Rail Creek Park in our Valley of Champions. We are excited that this project continues to gain traction as it would bring visitors to Shawnee from all over the country and even the world.
- Ann and her team have continued to bring exceptional leadership to our Chamber, forging great relationships with new councilmembers, a new City Manager, and business leaders from near and far. Because of their dedication, we are slated to bring over 500 new jobs to Shawnee and continue to see a multitude of other improvements in our community.
- Finally, remember how we started this year with a challenge to make some new connections, meet some new chamber members and attend a new Chamber event? We are doing it! We have had great attendance at our luncheons, AM Connects and our Red Friday event was sold out! So THANK YOU for making that happen!
So many great things to celebrate and we still have three more months to do more. If you are looking for a way to make a connection or an impact before the year is over, here are a few suggestions:
- Our Total Resource Campaign is in full swing. This is the time where we secure sponsorships for all of next year’s great events. There are so many great opportunities to support the Chamber and bring your business into the spotlight. If you haven’t checked out the opportunities, CLICK HERE.
- Trivia Night is coming up November 1. It is such a fun night! If you hurry, you might still be able to join us, but there are only a couple of teams still open.
- There are still many events you can attend this year to make those connections. Check out the EVENTS on our website and plan to attend something new!
